Organic materials - the category includes organic soils (HISTOSOLS) and qualifiers related to the properties of organic horizons (e.g., Hemic, Histic, Folic, Murshic). There are also qualifiers describing the activity of edaphone - plants and soil animals (e.g. ,Arenicolic, Biocrustic, Isopteric) or the specific combination of organic material with mineral components of soils (e.g., Mineralic, Skeletohistic).
